Puppy and Kitten Visits

Bringing home a new puppy or kitten is an exciting time for your family. Osceola Veterinary Clinic’s veterinarians can help you start your new puppy or kitten off right.

Our vets recommend that you set up your pet’s first visit with us soon after adoption. It’s important to get your new pet set up with a good parasite and vaccination program as well as a thorough examination to assure your puppy or kitten is healthy and prepared to stay that way.

Starting puppy and kitten vaccinations and keeping them on a schedule is critical to protecting their fragile systems from the most common diseases. Puppies and kittens also tend to eat or sniff at many things that can carry the eggs for internal parasites. Checking yearly for intestinal worms and administering necessary treatments is an important means for assuring your puppy or kitten will be able to absorb nutrients and grow from the food you provide.

At our puppy and kitten wellness exams, we will make sure you are covered with everything your new family member might need. We are here to help you every step of the way!

Surgery

At Osceola Veterinary Clinic, we go above and beyond to ensure our patients’ safety and give their owners peace of mind. Our team practices strict safety protocols before, during, and after surgery for every pet. Our team is highly skilled and experienced in performing a wide variety of pet surgeries using modern techniques, cutting-edge equipment, and always adhering to the strictest standards of safety and care. We provide surgical options in a clean and safe environment. Most importantly, our veterinary team can closely track each animal’s vital conditions during surgery. Your pet is in safe hands at Osceola Veterinary Clinic!

The surgical procedures we offer include:

  • Spays
  • Neuters
  • Mass Removals
  • Declawing

Surgical Laser

We have the ability to perform all of our surgeries using a surgical laser. This state-of-the-art, minimally invasive technique uses a high-power beam of light to precisely cut and remove tissues from single layers of cells to large tumors.

Laser surgery improves precision for surgeons and reduces bleeding, pain, recovery time, and risk of infection for patients. This innovative technology is becoming more popular in soft tissue surgery and is most commonly used by our doctors for spay and neuter and mass removal surgeries. Do not hesitate to inquire about this technique for your pet’s procedure.

Dentistry

According to the American Veterinary Dental Society, 70% of adult cats and 80% of adult dogs show symptoms of oral disease. Exceptionally bad breath, brownish plaque at the base of the teeth, excessive drooling, sore or bleeding gums when eating or chewing, and decreased appetite can all be signs that a pet’s teeth require attention. Maintaining strong dental health and a regular cleaning program not only assures that your pet’s mouth and teeth will remain in excellent condition, but will also help to prevent infections that can spread through the bloodstream to affect major organs such as your pet’s liver, kidneys, and heart. Fortunately, many dental problems can be managed through at-home care and by bringing your pet to us for regular dental checkups and teeth cleanings.

We at Osceola Veterinary Clinic want your pet to live a long, comfortable, healthy life, and we understand that maintaining a healthy mouth is part of that. Your pet’s health is important to us, so let us help you with this commitment. Call us to schedule a dental exam or cleaning!

End-of-Life Care

Saying goodbye to your beloved friend will be one of the hardest things you have to do – you do not have to do it alone. We are here for you. The Osceola Veterinary Clinic team is honored to be a part of the bond you share with your friend. We will share your burden and celebrate your memories.

We will take the time to discuss the physical and emotional factors involved in making end-of-life decisions and give you the time you need to consider your pet’s unique situation.

If you decide that euthanasia is necessary, we will provide a quiet and comfortable place and make the process as peaceful and painless as possible. We are also one of the few veterinary clinics in Osceola to provide cremation. We will preserve your pet’s memory with dignity and care, should you choose to honor them this way.

If you are struggling to make end-of-life care decisions, please feel free to contact us. We are here to help you with these difficult parts of pet care.

Laser Therapy

Here at Osceola Veterinary Clinic, we are excited to offer this cutting-edge therapeutic technique to help your pet. Laser therapy is a painless, non-invasive form of treatment that stimulates the body’s natural healing and pain control response. It can be used as a standalone therapy or as a complement to other treatment methods. Using a small, handheld device, the doctor applies a low-level laser to the area on question, stimulating normal cellular function. This results in faster wound healing and enhanced pain relief. Best of all, because laser therapy requires no medication or surgery, there are no harmful side effects. If you are interested in this incredible service, you can always reach out to us to discuss if this therapy is right for your pet!

In-House Pharmacy

At Osceola Veterinary Clinic, you won’t have to stray far to get the medication your pet needs. Whether it is monthly parasite prevention, antibiotics to treat an infection, or pain medication for after surgery, we have a fully-stocked in-house pharmacy to help. We can provide you with whatever medication your pet requires quickly!

Nutrition plays a very important role in the health of your pet. We can help you choose the correct type of food for your pets’ needs. We stock all life-stages of Hills Science Diet as well as Hills Prescription Diets. We also carry Royal Canin and Purina Prescription Diets.

Most diets can be shipped directly to your home. If you have any inquiries about the diets we carry, please reach out to us!
