Veterinarian

Osceola Veterinary Clinic is a 5-doctor mixed animal practice looking to add another associate veterinarian to our team! Less than 40 minutes from Des Moines, we serve countless clientele in South Central Iowa. We have provided personalized care for companion animals, livestock, and horses for over 75 years and welcome DVMs of all experience levels to join this one-of-a-kind team. For new graduates, we will happily offer customized and structured mentorship tailored to your interests!

Our practice is busy with a steady workload. We are goal-oriented and motivated, always looking to improve ourselves and our medicine. Veterinary Technician

The Veterinary Technician assists the doctors to the fullest possible extent, to help improve the quality of care given to the patients, and to aid the doctors in achieving greater efficiency by relieving them of technical work at Osceola Vet Clinic. The Veterinary Technician assists in multiple procedures providing care for animals including physical examinations, dental procedures, surgeries, immunizations, euthanasia as well as client education, marketing, and inventory maintenance. This position requires a working knowledge of pharmaceutical drugs, common diseases, their symptoms, means of transmission, treatment and prevention, and other basic preventative health care recommendations. This is an overview of the position and the job responsibilities listed do not encompass the entire position. The veterinary technician is under the direct guidance and supervision of the Lead Veterinary Technician and the veterinarians.

    CSR

    The primary responsibilities of the Client Services Representative (CSR) are to be cheerful and accurate and to maintain a smooth, well-planned, and orderly flow of clients and patients. This includes record-keeping and clerical duties as well as providing support to the health care team. These service functions include but are not limited to reception (visitor and telephone), maintenance of veterinary medical records, account maintenance, cash processing, data entry, word processing, and mail service. This position requires a practical knowledge of hospital organization and services, the basic rules and regulations governing visitors and animal patient treatment, data transcription, word processing, and practical knowledge of the standard procedures, veterinary records, and terminology used in the hospital.
